Dr Shaukat Iftikhar is a board-certified gastroenterologist. Having over 35 years of extensive experience and being licensed to practice medicine in 7 states, he specializes in pancreatic disease and gastrointestinal disorders. Dr Iftikhar is the recipient of the Gastrointestinal Surgery Excellence Award and possesses a sincere passion to contribute to the health and well-being of our tristate community. He strives on a daily basis to live up to his mission of providing quality specialty healthcare to uninsured individuals who do not have the ability to pay for medical care. Dr Iftikhar and the MASIHA team firmly believe that if even one person in the community suffers, it is as if all of mankind is suffering.  ​

Dr Iftikhar's vision for the Mobile Food Pantry is driven by a single goal: to do our part in helping our community be hunger-free. Our operations are based upon our common goal to fight food insecurity in the tri-state area. Dr Iftikhar and the Mobile Food Pantry team firmly believe in Prophet Mohammad’s words: “He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while the neighbor to his side goes hungry.”​

When taking a break from his 16-hour workdays, Dr Iftikhar enjoys spending time with his long-time feline companion Moose, taking care of his collection of tropical fish and exploring the world with his beautiful wife, Kulsoom, and 4 children Yusra, Yasir, Manha, and Hashir.
